Luis Suárez may refer to:
Gonzalo Alejandro Jara Reyes (Spanish pronunciation: [ɡonˈsalo ˈxaɾa]; born August 29, 1985) is a Chilean footballer who plays for West Bromwich Albion. In addition, he plays in the Chile national football team and participated in the 2010 FIFA World Cup. He is a versatile defender and can play in either full-back role.
Jara made his professional debut in 2005 for Huachipato, where he played until his 2007 transfer to the South American team Colo-Colo. He made a £1.4m move to West Bromwich Albion on 25 August 2009. He has also made several appearances with the Chilean national team. He was chosen by coach Nelson Acosta to play for Chile during their 2006 tour through Europe where they played the Republic of Ireland in Dublin, Côte d'Ivoire in Toulon and Sweden in Stockholm all only months before the 2006 World Cup
In 2005, Jara Reyes represented Chile at the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship in the Netherlands, scoring a goal in Chile's 7–0 victory over Honduras.
He also played for Chile in Copa América 2007 against Ecuador, Brazil, and Mexico as well as the 2010 World Cup Qualifiers, against Peru, Uruguay and Paraguay.
Giorgio Chiellini (Italian pronunciation: [ˈdʒordʒo kjelˈlini]; born 14 August 1984 in Pisa) is an Italian footballer who currently plays for Serie A club Juventus and the Italian national team. He started out his career as a left back but made his name as a no-nonsense, hard tackling centre back with a penchant for heading in goals from set-pieces. A popular figure with fans, he is second vice-captain, behind Gianluigi Buffon.
Chiellini joined the youth teams at Livorno at age six and started out as a central midfielder. As he matured, he switched to playing as a winger and finally he found his position as a left back. He played in the clubs' youth academy between 1990 and 2000, before earning first team call-ups for the 2000–01 Serie C1 season. In his first season with the first team, Chiellini made three appearances and followed that up with five more appearances the following season. In the summer of 2002, he was signed by Juventus in co-ownership deal, for €3.1 million, (who also saw Marco Amelia, moved to opposite direction, for €2.8 million) however, he was loaned back to Livorno for the 2002–03 Serie B season, after Livorno had earned promotion. In his first Serie B season, Chiellini made six seasonal appearances, also making his Coppa Italia debut. In his second Serie B season, Chiellini broke into the starting line-up for the club, and would go on to make 42 official appearances, also scoring four goals from his left back position. In June 2004, Livorno officially bought back Chiellini for €3 million. During his four-season spell with the clubs' first team, Chiellini made 57 total appearances, scoring four goals, before his high-profile transfer to European giants and scudetto holders Juventus.
James Lee Duncan "Jamie" Carragher (born 28 January 1978) is an English footballer of Irish descent, who plays as a defender for Premier League side Liverpool. He is the current vice-captain and is one of the club's longest-serving players; he made his 666th appearance for Liverpool in all competitions on 9 May 2011, thus placing him second on the club's all time appearance list.
Carragher started his career with the Liverpool youth team. He made his professional debut in the 1996–97 season and became a first team regular the following season. He gained his first senior honours in 2001, winning a cup treble of the FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Cup. Having initially played as a full back, the arrival of manager Rafael Benítez in 2004 saw Carragher move to the centre back position and that season he won his greatest honour to date—the UEFA Champions League. In the next season, he won the FA Cup and was selected in the PFA Team of the Year. Carragher set a record for the most appearances in European competition for Liverpool in 2007.
Sebastián Coates Nion (born 7 October 1990) is a Uruguayan football player who plays for Liverpool.
Coates was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, to a Scottish father and Uruguayan mother.
Coates joined Nacional at 11, and worked his way up through the age groups, appearing as captain at every level. In 2009, aged 18, he signed a contract and began playing for the first team. His first appearance came against Bella Vista, a performance for which he was named man of the match by El País. He then started every single game for Nacional, withstanding suspension and national duty.
In August 2011, Coates was the subject of substantial interest from English Premier League club Liverpool. He was given permission to have a medical at Melwood ahead of his proposed move on 26 August, and the following day watched Liverpool's match against Bolton Wanderers. On 30 August, after receiving a work permit, Liverpool announced that they had signed Coates on "a long-term contract" for an undisclosed fee. Liverpool officially announced that Coates would wear the number 16 shirt, last worn by Sotirios Kyrgiakos who had recently departed to Wolfsburg.
